Find Your Voice: Tell Your Story Workshop
Join Af Marseh, Comedian, and Author of 'Tumorous Hesticles – Just Say Cancer,' online this November for an empowering and immersive workshop designed specifically for people navigating life alongside and after cancer. This unique event aims to help you discover the power of your voice and share your cancer experience with confidence.
Throughout the workshop, you will delve deep into the transformative power of storytelling, equipping you with the tools to tell your story in your own words.
- Workshop 1: How to Tell Your Cancer Story and Public Speaking and Presentation Skills - 13th November 7pm-9pm
- Workshop 2: The Creation Session and Demonstration and Sharing Session - 20th November 7pm-9pm
It can be difficult to share your cancer experience because you’ll never know how people will react. That sometimes results in us keeping it to ourselves, which can create its own matters. Whether you want to tell your story on stage to a large audience, write a book, form some spoken word, or discuss feelings with close friends, we are going to create your story and tell it your way. It will be a fun, interactive day for everyone, no matter if you’ve created anything before or are a total beginner and want to develop some new skills. I truly believe in the power of storytelling and know that everyone has one worth sharing. - Af Marseh
Meet Af Marseh:
Having been diagnosed with stage 2 testicular cancer at the age of 29, Af shared his story throughout his experience. He then began to write a self-help memoir for other young people and their families going through cancer treatment. His book ‘Tumorous Hesticles: Just Say Cancer’ was published on Amazon earlier this year, with proceeds benefiting Trekstock.
