The Yorkshire Three Peaks is a challenge for the keen walkers. Scaling three mountains in one day, this is a demanding one-day 23 mile trek over hilly landscapes with beautiful views and landmarks along the way. To complete this route is to undertake one of the greatest outdoor challenges of the UK.

Total Distance: approx. 23 miles
Target Time:12 hours
Start & finish: Horton-in-Ribblesdale village
Event Dates: any weekend between May- October

Meeting in the village of Horton in Ribblesdale, you will take the Pennine Way towards the first peak – the distinctive stepped outcrop of Pen-y-Ghent (694m). Once you have taken in the views, you will continue towards our second peak: Whernside (736m). After a short break you will come down off the mountain and head to the village of Chapel-le-Dale, reaching the base of Ingleborough (723m), where a stepped path zig-zags fairly steadily to the summit of our final peak. You will then descend over Simon Fell, winding through the rocky landscape back to the village, feeling pretty pleased with yourself upon completion of the challenge!
